History of Building

Liberty Middle School, home of the Eagles, opened its doors in the fall of 2016. Proudly displaying blue and gold as its colors, the school was part of a $59.6 million bond issue passed in November 2012, aimed at accommodating growth and improving facilities in the Papillion La Vista Community Schools district. Liberty Middle School is strategically located off 108th Street and Highway 370 to serve the area's growing population.

Designed with modern educational needs in mind, Liberty features spacious classrooms, advanced technology labs, and ample areas for collaborative learning. These innovative design elements support the school's commitment to providing a cutting-edge learning environment for its students.

Since its inception, Liberty Middle School has focused on offering a comprehensive middle school experience. The school provides a wide range of academic courses, electives, and extracurricular activities, with a particular emphasis on strong STEM programs. This focus helps prepare students for a successful transition to high school and beyond.

The Eagle mascot, symbolizing vision, strength, and leadership, reflects the school's dedication to fostering these qualities in its students. Liberty also encourages community engagement, actively involving students in service projects that give back to the local community.

Liberty Middle School exemplifies the district's tagline "Be Known for Greatness" through its innovative programs and commitment to preparing students for future success. As one of the newer schools in the district, Liberty continues to evolve and refine its educational practices, always with an eye toward innovation and excellence.
